SELL ORGANIZES TRAINING ON SMART FARMING METHODS IN ADAMAWA STATE
In our quest to promote smart agricultural practices, SELL Foundation Nigeria conducted training on Smart agricultural farming methods for selected local farmers and volunteers in Adamawa State.
The training aimed at addressing and improving livelihood of the participants through introducing them to a more sustainable production practices, using simplified climate smart methods of agriculture such as using climate adapted seeds, organic compost, organic fertilizer, and organic pesticides among others.

The training also provided the participants (farmers) with necessary information on alternative source of farming inputs that is cost effective, easy to produce using locally sourced raw materials within their communities that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.
The facilitator, Dr Yusuf Ballah, managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Albit and Agro Consult Limited encouraged the participants during the training to use organic based fertilizers to reduce the cost of production, giving farmers the edge over rising cost of production. He also challenged them on the need to cut down use of chemical base compounds for a more environmentally friendly production system.

-DISTRIBUTES ENERGY EFFICIENT CHARCOAL STOVES AND TREE SEEDLINGS IN ADAMAWA STATE
Sharing Education and Learning for Life Foundation conducted training for couples on family cohesion in Adamawa State. The training which took place on the 18th to 19th October, 2024 brought together couples from different background in Adamawa State.
The training which took place at Women Development Centre in Yola aimed to strengthen the bond and promotes equity between couples. The training featured different activities including games as part of leisure activities.
Similarly, as a way of promoting a safe and sustainable environment, SELL conducted training on briquettes making for women at Yulde parte in Yola. The training is to support the women on using local methods to produce smoke free charcoal which will serve as alternative source of cooking and income for families.
The team also distributed some tree seedlings and charcoal energy efficient stove as a means to promote care for the environment through tree planting and use of energy efficient charcoal stove.
