Sharing Education and Learning for Life (SELL) held its 13th AGR with the theme: Beyond Personalities: Strengthening Systems for Transformative_ Change in Our Communities.
The event which took place from the 10th to 14th June, 2026 at SELL office in Bauchi brought together participants from across the North East and Plateau State.
The AGR provided a platform for reflection, dialogue, and strategic planning, with a strong focus on building resilient systems that transcend individual personalities.
In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Beji Jibe, Project Manager of the Foundation, expressed gratitude to participants and emphasized the significance of the AGR. He noted that while SELL has historically built around people, the time has come to strengthen processes, data, and accountability to ensure lasting impact.
The event centered on the theme of the year, exploring how leadership at both individual and community levels can contribute to institutional resilience.
Systems Resilience Presentation: Mr. Jacob Choji, delivered a thought provoking session on “The Four R’s System”, stressing that real impact is achieved when systems outlive personalities.
Practical Training on First Aid: Dr. Jeremiah Dala facilitated a highly engaging session on First Aid, equipping participants with essential life saving skills and emphasizing the importance of preparedness in community development.
During the reflection, Fr. Emmanuel Ighwo, the Regional Leader of the Saint Patrick’s Missionary Society, joined the gathering as part of his routine visit. He acknowledged the difficult security situation in the region, drawing from his own experience of working there, and expressed joy that despite these challenges, SELL volunteers remain resilient and committed to restoring peace in their communities.
Fr. Emmanuel extended heartfelt thanks to the SELL Resource Team and SELL Volunteers for their dedication and service. He pledged the continued support of the Saint Patrick’s Missionary Society for the work of the SELL Foundation, reaffirming their shared commitment to grassroots transformation and peace building.
