applications from suitably qualified and competent candidates to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accounts Officer
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Bauchi State (Applicants must be willing to reside in Bauchi)
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting.
Must possess ICAN certification.
Minimum of 2–3 years relevant work experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Sound understanding of accounting principles and ethical standards.
Effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date financial records.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
Monitor income and expenditure in line with approved budgets.
Track expenses against budget lines and report variances.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
Monitor cash flow and ensure proper cash management.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Provide financial analysis to support decision-making.
File tax returns (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.) and ensure statutory compliance.
Process staff salaries and statutory deductions accurately.
Prepare financial documents for internal and external audits.
Manage payments to vendors and track receivables.
Ensure adherence to financial policies and safeguard organizational assets.
Record transactions using QuickBooks and maintain proper data backups.
Additional Information
Salary package is negotiable.
