SELL Nigeria Empowers Farmers with Climate Smart Farming, Certified seed use training in Jalingo, Taraba State
In a bold step towards climate resilience and sustainable agriculture, SELL Nigeria conducted a transformative training on Climate Smart Farming, food storage and certified seed use for selected farmers and SELL volunteers in Jalingo, Taraba State.


The training brought together farmers from across Jalingo to learn innovative, eco-friendly techniques aimed at protecting their livelihoods in the face of climate change.
This impactful workshop focused on: modern use of technology, Identifying and selecting certified seeds over grains, best practices for planting and maximizing seed potential, and the benefits of certified seeds for yield, resilience, and food security.


The training also equipped Participants with practical knowledge on:
• Climate-smart agricultural practices
• Soil health improvement strategies
• Sustainable food storage methods
• Adapting traditional farming to changing weather patterns


This initiative reflects SELL’s unwavering commitment to empowering farmers with practical knowledge, promoting sustainable agriculture, and building resilient rural economies.
PROMOTING FAMILY BOND/ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: SELL CONDUCTS TRAINING ON FAMILY COHESION, BRIQUTTES PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTES CHARCOAL/TREES IN JALINGO
In our effort to promote and strengthen family bond and environmental sustainability, SELL Nigeria trained selected couples and Women in Jalingo, Taraba State on family cohesion/gender reconciliation and production of briquettes.


The training which brought together participants from different families and locations featured interactive and practical sessions with focus on communications, conflict resolution, financial management, gender reconciliation, child safeguarding, and environmental sustainability among others.
The training aimed at fostering deeper emotional connections among families and to also promote economic resilient and environmental sustainability in Taraba State.


Speaking during the training, One of the couple who spoke on behalf of the participants emphasized that the training has broaden their understanding of mutual respect, quality time and the importance to adapting to life’s changes together.


Also, the Admiral Hajiya Aishatu applauded SELL Foundation for the initiative and for equipping the women with skills on briquettes production. On behalf of FOMWAN members, she also promised that they will step down the knowledge in schools where most of them are teachers.
At the end of the training, selected participants were also giving charcoal stove and tree seedlings to promote care for the environment.
