SELL paid an advocacy visit to his Royal Highness Chief Augustine Njenmang Vengkani the Kuru of Kona Kingdom in Kona, Taraba State on the 4th December, 2020. The objective of the visit was to complement his effort and that of his council in fostering peace and development in Kona as well strategize for the eradication and prevention of Gender Based Violence in his community.

The team leader intimated his Royal Highness on the purpose of the visit and stated that over the years SELL Foundation has enjoyed his support that’s why we keep coming back to him for his fatherly blessings and support as we continue to work for a better society.
His Royal highness commended SELL Foundation for their selfless efforts in seeking his approval and collaboration in tackling Sexual and Gender Based violence in the community. He went further to pledge his support and also requested that SELL to put plans in place to raise awareness on the danger of indecent dressing as he sees that as one of the driving factors to rape.

Victor Kamai, on behalf of the team appreciated his Royal highness for the warm reception and positive responses. He assured his Highness of our commitment to making efforts in curbing sexual Gender Based Violence in Kona and society at large.
