Sharing Education and Learning for Life Foundation trained young adults in Yola, Adamawa State. The training which focused on Countering Violent Extremism brought people from Civil Society Organizations, Religious bodies, Government and Security Agencies.

The training aimed at empowering the young people in Yola with the necessary skills and strategies to prevent and counter violent extremism in the community.
Similarly, the team had sessions with the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at St Theresa’s IDP camp, Yola, Adamawa State. The groupings comprised of men, women, girls, boys and children. The session centered on self care, and was aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of the Internally Displaced Persons as they relate with one another especially now that the Corona Virus pandemic is at the upsurge.

The team also carried out series of advocacy visits to strategic stakeholders, groups and organizations for Human Capacity development as well as initiate discussions and dialogue on some of the key issues that disturbs the peace in Adamawa State with the aim of promoting peace, protection of children and prevention of Gender Based Violence.

The training/advocacy took place from the 18th to the 23rd January, 2021.
