Enhancing the welfare of SELL Resource team is paramount for effective service delivery, especially as they work with IDPs and communities affected by the Boko Haram insurgency in North East, Nigeria.
This propelled the management of the Foundation to organize a 3 day intensive training for its staff on SELF CARE.
The training aimed at equiping the team with the needed skills to engage the IDPs and other beneficiaries of her programme who are traumatized as a result of Boko Haram insurgency.
Similar workshops packages are being planned for SELL facilitators to promote the culture of personal self care among community volunteers as they in turn will offer psychosocial support, trauma consciousness and forgiveness and reconciliation to the target group.
The training took place from the 3rd to the 6th February, 2020.
Conducted by Ma’aji Peter’s, Carefronting Nigeria.
