SELL FOUNDATION TRAINS YOUNG ADULTS ON CONFLICT RESOLUTION/COUNTERING VIOLENT EXTREMISM

Sharing Education and Learning for life Foundation has again conducted training for young adults in Jalingo, the training which focused on Countering Violent Extremism brought together people from Civil Society Organizations, Religious bodies, Government and Security Agencies.

The training on Countering Violent Extremism aimed at empowering the young people in Jalingo with the necessary skills and strategies to prevent and counter violent extremism in the community.

While in Jalingo, the team also carried out series of advocacy visits to strategic stakeholders, groups and organizations (Ministry of Social Welfare Department, Human Rights Commission, Religious/traditional bodies and Civil Society Organizations) to dialogue on some of the key issues springing up within and outside Jalingo for the promotion of peace, child protection, Sexual and Gender Based violence and Human Capacity as well as proffering solutions on the way forward.
