In continuation with stakeholders engagement in Taraba State towards the promotion of peace, child protection, Sexual and Gender Based Violence and Human capacity development, SELL Foundation paid advocacy visits to Narrow the Gap Child Advocacy Group, an initiative committed to advocating for the protecting of the rights of children And the Catechetical Training Centre of the Catholic Diocese of Jalingo.

Rev. Fr. Walter Godwin Fai, Director Narrow the Gap Child Advocacy Group explained that the group came into existence in response to the challenges faced by indigent and street Children in the community through provision of education, advocating for the interest of girl child rights, elimination of child abuse and neglect, crime prevention and intervention.

Beji on behalf of the SELL team assured Fr. Walter and his team of the willingness of SELL Foundation to work with the group towards a peaceful and safer Jalingo for children as we narrow the gap and ensure a Taraba free of child abuse.

Similarly, the SELL team visited Rev. Fr. James Yaro Director Catechetical training Centre (CTC), Jimlari to follow up on discussions earlier had with the management of the centre to seek areas of collaborations. Fr James was exited with the visit and stated that he has been longing to have SELL programme for the students in CTC, he added that SELL initiative is a formation programme that all should embrace for a better society because it involves working with people. He added that as leaders of the church and society, the programme will aid the catechists through their studies as they transcend same knowledge to people they are working with.
