SELL volunteers in Maiduguri and Yobe States experienced new units of SELL programme. The training which was conducted on Child Safeguarding/protection and Peace/Conflict resolution aimed at promoting Reconciliation and peaceful coexistence among people and communities affected by insurgency, also to create awareness on the need of safeguarding and protecting the right of children and vulnerable in the society. The training is to also create awareness among the people on the proper ways to engage stakeholders on the need to domesticate and implement the Child Right Act in Borno and Yobe States respectively.

According to Ali Musa from National youth Council of Nigeria, Borno State Chapter, the training on child safeguarding/protection and Peace/Conflict resolution was insightful and interactive which has also helped him to become aware of the need of protecting children in the society as the future leaders.

Fr Innocent Wazamda stated during the training that SELL programme has impacted in the lives of young adults in Borno and Yobe States which call for action in the implementation of what was taught to other youth groups in the state for a better informed community.

The trained participants were invited from different groups and organizations and took place from the 20th to 23rd November, 2019 at St Augustine’s Catholic Parish New G.R.A, Borno State.
