Second quarter, 2019

As SELL continues to pursue its initiatives, the Foundation keeps striving to reach out to youths and vulnerable groups through life transforming programmes. We are pleased with the progress being made in the first phase of the year. The second quarter is not an exception as the Foundation recorded other successes.
SELL IN ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA: As SELL Formation programme continues to reach out to young people and vulnerable groups in the North East and Plateau States of Nigeria, SELL is also open to satellite areas and areas of need. This year 2019, SELL Resource Team reached out to Youths in Enugu State from the 6th to the 11th April, with workshop centered on self awareness and entrepreneurship skills.

ST. PATRICKS DISTRICT LEADER ON OVERSIGHT VISIT TO THE FOUNDATION: The Director and the entire team on 2nd May, 2019 received and welcomed Rev. Fr. Kevin O’ Hara the district leader of St. Patrick’s Missionary society on an oversight visit for the Misean Cara project. The visit accords us with the opportunity to interact with the district leader on the needs and challenges confronting the Foundation with the aim of improving on the progress being made in the projects implemented by the foundation.

TRANSITION PROGRAM WITH THE STUDENTS OF IMMACULATE CONCEPTION SECONDARY SCHOOL (ICSS), BAUCHI: The workshop aimed at assisting students to discover how their acceptance to change can lead to personal decisions that will enhance their individual productivity and satisfaction in their individual career choices. It also provides them with information and skills to assist them in understanding and choosing a career life.
WORKSHOP WITH CYON EXECUTIVES: The newly elected executives of the Catholic Youth Organization Bauchi Diocese experienced the leadership workshop. The workshop aimed at helping them with the leadership skills needed to steer the affairs of the youth apostolate in Bauchi Diocese. Similarly, other workshops conducted were with Catechists, Parish/Church laity council’s executives and community leaders across different communities.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES: As the SELL Resource Team continues to reach out to different groups and institutions, SELL volunteers are also not left behind as they also reach out to people in their communities through workshops, advocacy visits and other key activities.
