The Sharing Education and Learning for Life (SELL) Foundation Nigeria felicitates with youth across the globe on the occasion of 2020 International youth day with the theme: YOUTH ENGAGEMENT FOR GLOBAL ACTION.  The theme of this year’s occasion highlights the ways which the voices and activism of the young people are making a difference and moving our world and society to a desired vision.  The international youth day provides the young people with the opportunity to celebrate and mainstream their voices, actions and initiatives as well their meaningful and equitable engagement for sustainable development.

The young adults who are future leaders have in many ways contributed to the positive development of our society today and we continue to see them as driving force in fostering development in the society.   This year’s youth day (August 12th) is celebrated at a time the lives and aspirations of many young people been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic where some youth have lost their lives and family members to the covid- 19 pandemic, unemployment, Insecurity, Hunger among others.

On this auspicious occasion, SELL Foundation makes a clarion call to youth across the globe especially in Nigeria and North East to continue to be agent of peace as they continue to impact their community positively. We call on leaders especially in Nigeria to provide platforms to enable young people attend their live long dreams and provide platforms for the youths to develop their potentials for a betterment of society.

Happy International Youth Day to you all.  Let us remain dogged and uncompromising in our desire for a better Nigeria for all. Let the words of Gandhi always guide us through this difficult moment to always be the change we wish to see in our world.” Happy international youth day!
