As part of our effort to cushion the effect of the hardship by people as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly SELL community volunteers during the lock-down imposed by government to control the spread of the virus.The Sharing Education and Learning for Life Foundation with support from its funders, rolled out the distribution of palliatives and massive awareness campaign to its beneficiaries in the North East and Plateau State Nigeria.

The novel Corona virus which was first discovered in Wuhanin December, 2019 with the index case in Nigeria in February 2020 hasrendered most of our beneficiaries jobless, making it difficult for them to feed themselves and their families. The Foundation extended support to its volunteers in this difficult moment through the distribution of covid-19 preventive and protectivematerials as well as good palliatives.

The palliative distribution which commenced mid June, 2020 aimed at contributing to the mitigation of the spread of the novel Corona Virus and to support the effort of the Nigerian government in reaching out to people through distribution of palliatives during this period for individuals, groups and communities.

The distribution was rolled out to all the States across the North East and Plateau State,and carried out in three (3) phases. The first phase of the distribution was rolled out to Jos, Pankshin and Shendam while second phase to Jalingo, Yola and third phase Gombe, Tafawa Balewa, Bauchi, Borno and Yobe States respectively.

Items distributed were Information and Education(IEC) materials on Covid-19, personal protective equipment (Facemask, hand Sanitizers), Farm inputs (fertilizer, Herbicides, Pesticides), foodstuffs (Rice, Beans, seasoning and cooking oil).
